Maple Baked Pear

Maple Baked Pear


Step 1. Place the pear in a small baking dish and drizzle with 1 teaspoon of maple syrup. Add the water to the dish and then bake in a 190°C oven for 25-30 minutes or until tender. If necessary, add a little extra water to the dish during baking to prevent juices from burning.

Step 2. Meanwhile, place the oats and almonds on a baking tray and bake for 5 minutes or until golden.

Step 3. Remove pear from oven and turn to coat in juices. Transfer pear to a serving bowl and serve with yoghurt, toasted oat mixture and raspberries.


Tip: If you make extra pears they will keep chilled for another breakfast.

And, extra oat mixture will keep in an airtight container at room temperature for many days.


  • 1 Small (150g) Pear, cored and quartered
  • 2 Teaspoons Maple Syrup
  • 2-3 Teaspoons Water
  • 1 Tablespoon (5g) Rolled Oats
  • 2 Teaspoons (2.5g) Flaked Almonds
  • ¼ Cup (60g) Reduced Fat Natural Yoghurt
  • 5 Raspberries
